About Anna

I teach the way I wish I had been taught.

I'm Anna — founder of Virtual Academy of Languages. I grew up between Bavaria and Brussels, went to an international school in Belgium, studied Finance in Munich, and earned my teaching certification in Chicago.

Languages have always been how I moved through the world. Living across Europe and Asia — in different cultures, different industries, different social contexts — taught me something no classroom ever did: that fluency doesn't come from grammar books. It comes from having real things to say about real things you care about.

So I built VAL around that. Every student gets a curriculum shaped entirely by their world — their profession, their passions, the conversations they actually need to have. Nothing generic. Nothing wasted.

Can my company pay for the sessions?

Yes — and it is more common than you might expect. VAL issues formal invoices directly to your company's accounts payable, fully compatible with purchase order and Kleinbestellung systems. Many students discover their employer covers language training under their professional development budget. Just ask.

What level do I need to start?

Any level — from complete beginner to advanced professional. Your first session is a free 15-minute discovery call where we figure out exactly where you are and what you need. No placement tests, no forms, no judgment.

What if I need to cancel a session?

Cancel with at least 24 hours notice and we reschedule at no extra cost. Late cancellations (under 24h) cannot be refunded as the slot is reserved for you. Any session Anna cancels is rescheduled or credited immediately.

How do sessions work?

All sessions are 1-on-1 via video call — Zoom, Google Meet, or your preference. Fully remote, flexible across time zones. You book via the calendar above, Anna arrives prepared for your specific goals.

Can I change my package later?

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or pause at the start of any new billing cycle. No long-term lock-in. Most students find they want to increase their sessions after the first month.
